Talking about mental health is tough at the best of times, but what about when the person your talking to doesn’t seem to understand?

This is the problem facing some people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds when they seek support.

Studies have shown there is an inadequate number of trained staff and services, not only limiting some practitioners’ awareness of cultural differences but also their understanding of recognising mental disorders among cultural communities.
