Between a Rock and a Hard Place: The Gap in Mental Health Services for Young Australians

Elina Marsh

As the prevalence of mental illness in Australia continues to increase, so does the demand for accessible and affordable mental health services.

Lengthy waiting lists, pricey costs for psychological services, and a lack of mental health services catered to young adults are only exacerbating Australia’s mental health crisis.

Is Australia’s youth mental health care system broken, and if so, how can it be fixed?

If you or someone you know is experiencing mental ill-health, support is out there.
