Expanding on her Communication for Social and Environmental Change Project, Monique Mita goes on a deep dive to find out more about the proposed Whale on the Hill structure at Minjerribah (Stradbroke Island). Protesters have been camped on the proposed site since February 2021, blocking construction and fighting for cultural and environmental conservation. Locals are divided, communities are split, and, after 12 months of debater, there’s no compromise or agreement in sight.
