The Gold Coast Show went off with a bang over the weekend.
The ‘Reach for the Stars’ themed show included a wide range of entertainment, music, show bags, agriculture and much more.
The Gold Coast Show celebrated 111 years of family fun and showcased everything the Gold Coast has to offer.
The Show’s Entertainment Manager, Monique Whiffin said the thing that sets the Gold Coast Show apart from other major events is it highlights every aspect of the Gold Coast’s diverse community.
“We had some amazing entertainment at the Gold Coast Show this year. We had an incredible free circus, agricultural entertainment, free workshops, a rodeo and show time FMX did multiple stunts throughout the day which were very high energy and super exciting,” Ms Whiffin said.
“It took 12 months to plan all of the entertainment like picking the right fireworks, the lasers and all of the Gold Coast community’s favourite things that keep them coming back every year.”

The long running show is one of the Gold Coast’s most treasured traditions and something the community looks forward to each year.
Intern at the Show, Rachael Parish thought that 2017’s show was the most exciting one yet.
“It was great to take part of something that has been running for so long. The great thing about the Gold Coast Show is that there is something for everyone no matter what their interests are,” Ms Parish said.
“It was so nice to see different parts of the community coming together and seeing all the little quirky things that makes the Gold Coast special.”
