While Blues on Broadbeach has a competition where attendees can win a guitar signed by festival artists sign, Griffith University (home of The Source News) has an entirely different guitar competition.
Griffith University’s Queensland College of Art has made 3D prints of the bodies of two guitars that have then been finished with necks and heads made from wood.
Using a 3D printer and starting from a virtual design the QCA has produced a stylish and unusual type of guitar.

One of the famous young singers at the festival, Josh Needs tried out a 3D printed guitar and liked what he found.
You can enter the competition for a 3D printed guitar at the Griffith University tent near the Broadbeach Mall stage and in front of The Envy Hotel.
Also, the Griffith tent has an entertainment place with Jenga and sofas so everyone can relax and have fun while entering the competition.
