While Blues music is often seen as a masculine pursuit, Sandy McClelland showed women the way when she opened the Blues on Broadbeach free music festival playing bass guitar in Blue Shaddy.
Bass guitar is one of the main elements of a blues band music and Sandy’s play is strong and skillful.
She also sings harmony and generally rocks.
Her radiant smile lifts the whole band’s performance.
