Madeline Stuart made her mark in the fashion world last weekend as she walked the catwalk at New York Fashion Week (NYFW).
Madeline has Down Syndrome and is using her modelling career to spread the word of inclusion for people with disabilities.
The eighteen year old appeared as a model for U.S. fashion label FTL Moda at NYFW and impressed the crowd with her personality as well as her outfits.
Madeline’s mother, Rosanne Stuart is thrilled to be able to take her daughter across the world to continue to spread their message.
“I’m just so proud of my daughter for spreading the word about inclusion around the globe,” Rosanne said.
The young model was a ball of excitement in the lead up to her NYFW appearance.
“Awesome,” Madeline said of her experience.

Working with FTL Moda isn’t the only exciting thing to come Madeline’s way recently.
The month of August saw her release a collaboration with U.S. fashion label, EverMaya.
The brand released a line of handmade purses called ‘The Madeline’ and five per cent of every purchase is being donated to the National Down Syndrome Society in the U.S.

EverMaya President, Damian Graybelle said working with Madeline is an important opportunity for his company and they are very proud to be involved in spreading her message of inclusion.
“From day one, EverMaya has been a fashion and lifestyle brand built on the value of being inclusive,” Mr. Graybelle said.
After spending some more time in New York, Madeline will be appearing at Melange in San Francisco where she’ll be presented with a Model of the Year Award.
