After a fantastic 22 to 12 victory on Friday night over the Eels, the Brisbane Broncos are still in the running for a top eight spot.
Captain Sam Thiaday was at his usual best to ensure the Broncos remain a fighting chance.
Upcoming player Cory Oates had another stunner of a game after scoring a try and making some crucial tackles.
As the NRL heads into the last few weeks of the season the Broncos cannot get ahead of themselves and need to concentrate on winning, Brisbane Broncos member Marianne Zandona said.
“After this round we still have two more round left and we do have some very tough games against the Knights and the Bulldogs,” Miss Zandona said.
“Penrith are always tough at their home stadium but we just need to stick to our game plan and be sure to not give away too many penalties.”
The Broncos have not lost their last four games, which will be giving them an added bit of confidence going into the next game against the Penrith Panthers.
